painting the wall

well i have just one photo-- an in between photo of the back wall in the process of being painted. the yellow has been brushed on over the once red wall.  while not nearly finished, and due several more coats of varying shades of yellow/green-- it's already made the space much lighter. the window frame will be painted a lighter color as well-- and i'm likely going to want to change the cover and pillows on the couch..

  2. ...my mouth is watering--that is such a wonderful image of where you live I can imagine you have a paradise at home, Kathi--such flair and distinctive attention to detail. It looks like a place, a corner I would love to sit by the window and dream!

  4. I'm having a fit over your furniture, Kathi! Love those colors, too--I ought to considering the walls surrounding me now are a warm yellow and to my left is an old radio stand painted teal... I hope you will post the final results!

Also, while poking around the interwebs just a while ago, I came across the home of Mary McMahon and I thought of you--probably b/c of all the texture. Here it is if you want to take a peek: http://thedesignfiles.net/2010/08/melbourne-home-mary-mcmahon/

XO!

  8. I, too, am loving seeing the lively and warm process of the wall painting and imagining your amazing eye for color and style along with your hands at work on this space!! Right now it already looks heavenly and with what what looks to me like Tibetan touches! Will follow to see what emerges next.
